The Portrait of Aaron Slobodj This is the interactive portrait/biography of Aaron Slobodj, a fictional character created by Portuguese illustrator José Carlos Fernandes. A reproduction of this portrait is projected onto a wall-mounted frame at the end of a narrow corridor. As the user walks towards the painting a narrator describes different periods on the character's life and career. As the user gets closer to the painting, and as Slobodj's life story progresses in time, the image of the character also suffers an aging process. A sonar sensor, placed at the end of the corridor and connected to microcontroller chip, detects the position of the user. This information is then sent to the computer, which in turn activates the corresponding audio and transformation of the portrait. |
