Faerie Tree
Faerie Tree is based on six children's stories and the eerie ambiance of an enchanted forest. From each of the tree's steel-pipe braches hangs a small glass box representing a faerie tale: Cinderella, Rapunzel, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Hansel & Gretel, and Little Red Riding Hood. Each time a box is touched it lights up and plays an audio track associated with the corresponding story. Then, one by one, all the other boxes light up and play their 'songs'.
The tree structure, made out of hollow steel pipes, contains an electric circuit connecting all the boxes to a microcontroller chip. When one of the boxes swings, the circuit closes. This information is then passed on to the computer, which analyses it, lets the chip know which box to light up, and plays the corresponding audio.
